Paul...

Paul took up drumming nearly thirty years ago, after trying (and abjectly failing) to master any other instrument. Guitar, piano, wind, they all escaped him - especially wind. However, this is all now seen as good news, because he's turned out to be a damn fine drummer.

Paul brings a willingness to try anything at all - any style, any genre (with the definitive exception of Country!) - and isn't afraid to go out on a limb, even to the extent of once playing a song in a gig that he'd never ever heard....! We wouldn't make him do that - we'd at least let him listen to the track once through before the gig!

Paul's toured, done studio session work, played everything from stadiums to pantomimes (oh yes he has!) and is now enjoying life with RISER!

Paul plays Mapex drums, Premier snare, Zildjian cymbals, Evans heads, and Vic Firth sticks.

Meet the chaps...

First, and by no means greatest, is Lee Davids. He may be short in stature, but he is big in talent. Our lead singer and guitarist boasts a scarily large portfolio, and he will get it out anywhere.

Next, our lead guitarist is Dave Cox, who with his wah-wah pedal and bright yellow guitar sets the standards that we all try to sink to...

Now we come to bassist Pete Hutchins. Veteran of many a party, Pete knows what turns a tune into an anthem (usually a solid bass-line!)

No band would be complete without a great drummer. So whilst we wait for one to come along, we have Paul Shrimpton. Paul keeps us in time, if not always on time, and completes the on-stage line up.

Finally, we'd be nothing without the man on the knobs, Dave Hutchins, who brings years of industry experience to our cause. He really is our secret weapon.
