Greetings and a very Happy New Year to you! Where did the year go? I swear the older you get the quicker the time goes by. What a year we've had though! Thankfully, Riser have been gigging solidly all through 2009 while a lot of our peers were struggling. We are very grateful to all of you who chose us for your parties, weddings and corporate functions and for your continued support.

It's a great time to be a part of RISER, and the fun just keeps on going. And much as we would love to say it's all down to our own hard work and dedication, we'd like to acknowledge the gratitude we have to all our wonderful fans around the world – as far afield as Atlanta, Scottsdale, and New York City in the good old US of A, and Sydney, Australia, as well as many many people right here in the UK. We’ve built up quite a following over the past few years, and we love each and every one of you. Yes… even you…..

There is, however, one special person who has been acting as our 'unofficial' promoter, manager, marketing guru and gig-finder. And she’s become almost as much a part of the band as the rest of us, as well as being a really good friend.

And so, to self-confessed RISER addict and official Riserette Numero Uno Emma - thanks for all your help, from all of us.....

2010 is already shaping up to be another busy year. We are kicking off the gig calendar with a performance at The Stoop-The Harlequins Rugby stadium on 9th February. The Mighty Quinns! The next important date for your calendars this year is Saturday 12th June. We will be performing at the Rugbyrocks7 Festival at Richmond Athletic Ground. Tickets will be available through TicketMaster. Check out the RUGBY ROCKS 7s website for further information.

As well as all the numerous private functions we play at, we've been asked to play in public a bit more often so that friends, family and prospective clients can come and see us too and we fully intend to do so. Please check the website regularly for updates.

We are also scheduled to record new original material towards the end of April, which will see us all heading off to the coast to record in a converted chapel. Our very own Bron-Y-Aur! check on YouTube in May for the results!

It's only january, and already it's looking like a really exciting year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2010!
