Wherever Riser play, we get asked some serious, searching questions. "How long have you guys been together?" is a top one. "Do you know any Teena Marie songs?" is another, as is "Where does your lead guitarist get his shirts from?". One thing that always gets asked, however, is "Where have you guys been all my life? You're BRILLIANT!!"

Whatever your event, a set or two by RISER will make all the difference. We have been gigging solidly since we formed over five years ago..... Jeepers, when you see it in print, five years seems like an awful long time. And it's not possible with out you, so we are very grateful to everybody who chose us for their parties, weddings and corporate functions and for our fans' continued support.

Riser are always looking for new songs to learn. This year has seen new material from the 60s, at the excellent Mods and Rockers party in Cookham, loads of new tracks from the 80s, which went down a storm at the 80s night at Borlase School in May, and a bunch of newer tracks from The Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon and Kasabian to keep our material as fresh as possible.

It's a great time to be a part of RISER. Despite our increasing age and waist-lines, we aalways have a blast, enjoy our music and each other's company, and love our wonderful audiences. And much as we would love to say it's all down to our own hard work and dedication, we'd like to acknowledge the gratitude we have to all our wonderful fans around the world – as far afield as Atlanta, Scottsdale, Houston, and New York City in the good old US of A, and Sydney, Australia, as well as many many people right here in the UK. We’ve built up quite a following over the past few years, and we love each and every one of you. Yes… even you…..
