Wherever Riser play, we get asked some serious, searching questions. "How long have you guys been together?" is a top one. "Do you know any Teena Marie songs?" is another, as is "Where does your lead guitarist get his shirts from?". Recently, however, the biggest question has been "When will you finally update your website?" Well, the answer is..... today!

Riser have had a wonderful time recently. We have been gigging solidly since we formed around five years ago..... Jeepers, when you see it in print, five years seems like an awful long time. And it's not possible with out you, so we are very grateful to all of you who chose us for your parties, weddings and corporate functions and for your continued support.

Summer has been a time for vacations, resting, and recharging the batteries - and also looking for new songs to learn. We're currently learning stuff by Plan B, The Kings of Leon, Adele, the Killers, and Paul Weller, whilst reviving some old favorites by Coldplay and Paolo Nutini. If you see us over the next few months, look out for the new tracks!

It's a great time to be a part of RISER. Despite our increasing age and waist-lines, we are still having a blast, enjoy our music and each other's company, and love our wonderful audiences. And much as we would love to say it's all down to our own hard work and dedication, we'd like to acknowledge the gratitude we have to all our wonderful fans around the world – as far afield as Atlanta, Scottsdale, Houston, and New York City in the good old US of A, and Sydney, Australia, as well as many many people right here in the UK. We’ve built up quite a following over the past few years, and we love each and every one of you. Yes… even you…..

So far this year, we've played schools, birthdays, weddings, charity events, fayres and even had time to do some more work on our own music, writing a few more songs. Come back soon and check out the Media page, as some remixed tracks will be available online soon....
